yooo so this past weekend i saw Fat Freddy's Drop two nights in a row. saw them on thursday in sf and drove down to la the next night to catch them again. let me just say, WOW. it was amazing! i haven't seen that quality band talent in a while and it was very refreshing. their sound is hard to describe but i would say its like reggae dub jazz soul with alittle twinge of electronic. The band is made up of 7 players being: a guitarist, keyboard/ synth, drums pad/ dj, vocalist, a trombone player, trumpet player, and a saxiphonist. the dynamic in the band was simply amazing. the instrument section would improvise and created this live experience that their cds can't portray. hahah their trombone player is the best, not only is he hella talented he get so into it. they are a stellar group and you all should check them out.
oh yah! the digital mystiks remixed a song of Fat Freddy's Drop and here it is. sadly no download only youtube streamin. sorry
